Brush Pens
Pick out a brush pen! For beginners, I would suggest choosing one with a small tip so that you have more control over your lines. My personal favourite is the Pentel Touch Sign pen. If you don't want to invest in a brush pen, you can also use broad tipped Crayola markers!
Style
Try turning your letters into words and try to experiment in order to find your style! I like practicing with the sentence "the quick fox jumps over the lazy dog" because it uses every letter in the alphabet! Don't be afraid of playing around with the height and size of your letters.
Strokes
Practice making light up strokes and heavy down strokes! This will help you when you are creating your letters. Try to create consistent up and down strokes without lifting your brush pen from the paper to practice.
Lettering
Practice your letters while maintaining your light up strokes and heavy down strokes. Sometimes it can get frustrating if you are having trouble getting your letters to come out in the way you want them too. Remember to persevere and that practice makes perfect!
